Kerlande Mibel

Kerlande Mibel holds a graduate degree (DESS) in Organizational Management from Laval University, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications at UQÀM. She started Zwart communication, a communications agency that specializes in diversity marketing. She founded this agency because she believes in the richness that diversity represents for the development of society.

Before that, she was a political advisor in the Office of the Mayor of Montreal. She worked for ten years in economic development, employability and women’s entrepreneurship. She created and managed marketing programs for women entrepreneurs and promoted women’s entrepreneurship to Montreal decision-makers. She has taught the Business Launching and Sales Consulting programs for two school boards.

As an economic development professional, Kerlande Mibel was the instigator of the Montreal Women’s Entrepreneurship Challenge and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Days for economic development professionals. She is currently a columnist on the Canal Argent program PME en action.

Committed, she sat on the National Executive Council of a major party in Quebec. She completed two terms as President of the Jeune Chambre de commerce haïtienne; completed two terms on the Board of Directors of the Regroupement des Jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec. She was also a member of the Forum jeunesse de l’île de Montréal and the women’s committee of the Conférence régionale des élus de Montréal. She was a member of the coordination committee of Grahn-Monde. Currently, she is a director on the board of CECI, the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. “Like Goethe, Kerlande Mibel believes that daring is genius.
